I am fully licensed for boarding by East Renfrewshire Council. And there are no cold kennels or cramped cages — they stay in the house with my own pampered pooches and are treated like one of the family.
Of course, there are a few house rules:
1. Proof must be provided that all inoculations are up to date
2. Your dog must be microchipped and the number provided
3. Sorry! Non-neutered males cannot be accommodated.
In return, your dog will enjoy at least two walks a day and receive plenty of attention and tummy tickles.
Naturally, you can bring your pet’s own food, bed and toys to help them settle in and feel completely at home.
I find it also helps if they arrive no later than 4pm so they can have a good sniff around and get their bearings before bedtime.
And of course, I always arrange a pre-stay visit so they can meet my own family and see exactly where they’ll be staying.
